**Please note, a short video will be made to show combat**

Combat

There are two forms of combat, Lethal and Non Lethal.
Death match- A form of Lethal combat
Sparring - A form of Non Lethal combat

Combat is performed in Turns: One player posts their intent to battle by performing their jutsu. Simply post what Passive, Active, and Skills you use and who the intended target is.
There will be two players in the following example engaged in combat. For the purposes of the example, both players agreed to a Death Match or DM and are Rank Genin 1. Player A goes first as per their agreed terms

Quote :
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Player A:
Genin 1

Passive

-One Handed (Passive) Able to throw items and use jutsu

Active

-Sharingan 1 - (Active) (20 Chakra/5 upkeep per turn) Gain "Copy Technique" Copy 1 Ninjutsu or Taijutsu on your turn, or Avoid 1 (Tai) of 25 damage or less once per turn

Skills
-Wind Release Zephyr (Nin)(20 Chakra) 25 Damage. Cannot be Interrupted (Player B)
-Shuriken (Thrown) (0 Chakra) 25 Damage (Player B)

HP/Chakra 310/170  [Originally 310/200]

Armor:
Head +10HP / Chest: +50HP / Greaves: +50HP
—------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This ends Player A’s turn. They specify the intended target of all the skills being used, if there is no specific target (sometimes passive or active abilities) then the target is self.

Player B:
Genin 1

Passive

-Horse Stance (Passive) Able to block 1 Taijutsu of 20 chakra or less once per turn

Active

-Gate of Opening (0 chakra)(Active)(Skill) Gain +90HP/100Chakra: Increase all Taijutsu damage by +20. Gain Front Lotus. May only use Front Lotus while opening this gate. After using Front Lotus without being at least Chunin Rank, you lose 90 HP after two turns [2/2]

Skills

-Leaf Whirlwind (Tai)(20 Chakra) 20 Damage. Cannot be blocked, cannot be interrupted.(Player A)
-Flurry (Tai)(15 Chakra) 20 Damage. Cannot be interrupted.
(Player A)

HP/Chakra 260/200 [Originally 310/200]
Armor:
Head +10HP / Chest: +50HP / Greaves: +50HP

—------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Player B took the damage from the Shuriken as well as the Wind Release Skill which they were unable to block. They also increased their chakra pool with the Gate of Opening active ability. This match will continue until either one side surrenders or dies.

Turns: The time you act in combat. A turn, like other RPG’s, takes place within a set amount of time in-game. Outside of the game you have 24hours from the time your opponent makes their post or attack, to respond.
(ie Player A attacks at 8:18pm PST 1/4/21, Player B has until 8:18pm PST 1/5/21 to respond)
If you do not respond within the given time, you forfeit your turn and take all damage associated with the original attack.

Player Ratio: The amount of players allowed to fight against one another in combat is always 2:1 maximum. 3v1 (not legal) / 4v2 (legal)
There may be exceptions to this rule in Death Matches or Sparring Matches provided all parties agree to the terms. Otherwise in Travel Threads, Mission Threads, and other locations in Villages, the Player Ratio must always match up.

If you choose to affect a skill that another player is attacking you with, you must designate which skill you are trying to affect. An example is as follows;

-Player A

Suiton : Wairudou ōtāu ēbu jutsu : (25 chakra)(Nin) Deal 40 damage and hold 1 opponent for 1 turn. Cannot be blocked [@ Player B]

Basic Kunai (Thrown Weapon) Deal 30 damage. [1/2] [@ Player B]

-Player B

Substitution Jutsu: (30 chakra)(Active) Avoid 1 skill (Nin, Tai, or Weapon) of 30 damage. [@ Basic Kunai]

Katon: Kita no Jutsu (40 chakra) Deal 60 damage, cannot block, interrupt 1 skill (Nin, Tai, or Weapon) of 50 damage or less [@ Wairudou]
—------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Multi Player Combat

If there are multiple players in combat, turns go in order of who makes the first combat post. While Traveling, whoever makes the first combat post to engage the traveling shinobi, will be considered the first to strike. You are only allowed one turn in combat or one post. Therefore if there are multiple attackers, you must determine which skills or abilities will be affecting which player. An example is as follows;

-Player A is traveling
-Player B and C are attacking Player A
-Player B throws Kunai, and Player C uses a Jutsu
-Player A uses a skill to block the Jutsu but takes the damage from the Kunia they were unable to stop.

The turn will continue with Player B, Player C, then Player A.

If you choose to make a combat post in the beginning of your traveling thread, that will always be considered the first attack and whoever attempts to attack you must deal with your first combat post. An example is as follows

-Player A makes a Traveling Thread and posts his intent to attack whoever attempts to attack them by making a combat post with the target being @Anyone or @Everyone (or similar language
-Player B and C, witness Player A traveling and engage in Player A’s combat post first.
-Player B attacks first then Player C

The turn will continue with Player A, Player B, then Player C

Clones

- Clones act on your turn
- Most if not all clones cannot use genjutsu
- Clones are allowed to use hold skills if you yourself have used on this turn
- Clones may help block damage for you
- Clones are not a substitute for your character. If you die, your clone dies automatically regardless of remaining HP and Chakra
- Clones may not use a Clone Skill unless otherwise specified
- Clones may use all of your abilities including BL abilities
- You may never control more than 3 Clones unless otherwise specified
- Clones will specify how many Active, Passive, and Skills they are allowed to use in the Jutsu description.

Puppets

Puppets act on your turn, but they do not act like clones
You must have available skill slots in order to make your pupper perform jutsu and other skills
Puppets have their own unique set of abilities which are purchased with the puppet and unlocked as you gain Ranks
Puppets are considered Items

Passive / Active / Skills

Looking at player stats example HERE and using the example above, let’s look at the different actions that take place during combat.

•Passive Ability; Abilities used on your turn and may stay active on your subsequent turns. These abilities may also have a chakra cost associated with activating the ability. Unless the upkeep is specified, the chakra cost is to be paid only once. Some Passive Abilities may be one time use or [1/1] indicated with phrases like; Once per Battle [1/1], Once per Turn
•Active Ability; These act similarly to Passive Abilities, but may have an Upkeep cost. These abilities may also have a chakra cost associated with activating the ability. Unless the upkeep is specified, the chakra cost is to be paid only once. These same abilities may also indicate phrases like; Once per Battle, or Once Per Turn.
•Passive/Active or Active/Passive; These abilities start as the first stated skill and then transition to the second stated skill on the next turn. Turn 1 (Passive/Active) starts in the Passive Abilities slot and then on your next turn, Turn 2 "Passive" is dropped from the ability and stays in the Active Abilities Slot.

-Skills/ Skill Slots: These are the primary means of dealing damage. The main categories are Weapons, Items (Including consumables, thrown weapons, etc.) Ninjutsu, Taijutsu, and Genjutsu. Skills are affected by Conditions (see conditions) and may be, interrupted, blocked, or avoided

Item/Weapons Rules

You are considered to always have your weapons on your character. This includes Swords, Puppets, Shuriken, etc. All weapons including consumable items take a Skill slot to use. If you attack with a sword, using a sword skill, that will take up that skill slot. You have 3 Worn Item slots as well, Head, Chest, and Feet. These Items will give your character a boost in HP, Chakra, or may even provide additional benefits to specific skills.  Some Passive or Active abilities may allow you to use an item without taking a skill slot.

Basic Armor +50 HP (Chest) Headband +10 HP(Head)
One Handed (Passive) Allowed to use Jutsu while holding weapons

Armor Rules

You have 3 slots for your armor
Head / Chest / Feet
You may only have one piece of armor on your character sheet at a given time
All armor not used may be sold back to the shop at a discounted rate of approximately 50%

Ninjutsu Rules

Ninjutsu Rules

Ninjutsu is one of the main ways of dealing damage in combat. Just like Taijutsu and Genjutsu, Ninjutsu requires Chakra in order to use abilities. The following is an example of using Ninjutsu in combat.

Quote :
Player A
Genin

Passive:
One Handed (Passive) Allowed to use Jutsu while holding weapons

Active:
Sharingan Tier 1 (20 Chakra-4Upkeep/turn)

Skills:
-Wind Release Zephyr (Nin)(20 Chakra) 25 Damage. Cannot
be Interrupted (Player B)

-Shuriken (Thrown Weapon) (0 Chakra) 25 Damage (Player B)

HP/Chakra 200/160  [Originally 200/200]

In this example, the player is using Wind Release Zephyr, which requires 20 chakra in order to perform. Showing your Original or Starting HP/Chakra at the end of the post in order to insure tracking your damage and chakra is accurate.

Genjutsu Rules

If held by a Genjutsu, you must be released with skills like Kai Release or Inflict Pain. You may only use 1 Genjutsu per turn that holds, stops, paralyzes, or captures an opponent. If you Hold, stop, paralyze, or capture an opponent with Genjutsu you may not hold the same opponent with a different hold skill the next turn.

An example would be:
Sand Disruption (30 chakra) Block 1 (Gen) of 40 chakra or less.

An example of breaking Genjutsu;

Player A uses the Genjutsu : Hell Viewing Technique (20 chakra) Stun 1 opponent for 1 turn, if successful deal 15 damage

Player B responds with : Kai Release 1 (xxx>20 chakra) Spend chakra equal to Genjutsu being used. (@Hell Viewing)

By using Kai Release, Player B  spends 20 chakra; they are now able to play their other skills in the same post if they have slots for them. Now reading Player A’s skill Hell Viewing Technique, it says it Stuns the opponent for 1 turn, if Player B had no skill such as Kai release or Inflict Pain, they would have spent their turn Stunned (see conditions)

If you are stunned, you should reply by saying something like (held, paralyzed, stunned, etc) So the other player knows their skill hit.
